Plug gap on an s/c'd L61
In running a .040 gap on my plugs which are 1-step colder NGK's. But I'm getting some sputter and hesitation around 3500-4000rpms. Vince just finished up my tune as best as he can get it. I tried gapping down to a .035 before the tune was finished and it made my idle worse. My idle is fine now it's just through the power band so I'm wondering if it's not spark blow out.
So what should I be gapped at? Or what do y'all run for plug gap? Just looking for some suggestions cause a .040 seems rather big.

i will say the 1 step colder is the right idea with the boost.
Do the L61 and LSJ use the same head casting? if so i would try the stock LSJ plugs in the car. if thats not what youre already running.
i've heard a few stories baout the trifecta tunes not being so great, adn i can understand why. i know i shouldnt jump on the tune, but has anyone who knows what they are doing (not assuming you dont, just asking) looked at the logs? i dont know **** about them, so i cant help, but some guys on here might be able too

My car has only been logged with the Trifecta software. I mean it runs decent, it just don't run at 100%, I can tell that. As for tuners, I know two private party tuners one who knows enough to get it running pretty good and the other who don't know his ass from a whole in the ground. For tuning it's probably gonna be easier for me to take it to a dyno tuning shop.
The plug seat between L61 and LSJ are different so LSJ plugs won't work. I too run the NGK 6509's. I know I'm running rich. I'm just not sure if it's spark blow out, a bad cat, or a combination of the two. I know the tune is part responsible but I can't fix that at the present time.
