Ok. So i have the 2.2 with an injen Cold air intake ( not ram air) and i am looking at a new hood for my car. Here is the thing. The hood has a Scoop. Now im worried about water getting on my engine or anything that shouldnt get wet. and with my cold air im worried about getting hydro-locked ( i do ahve a hydro sheild... its just a cover that goes over the filter). Is the scoop going to cause any problems????

 

No, not unless you're gonna be driving thru a waterfall with it. Any water ON the hood will roll off the nose(not entering scoop) and if ur driving, what water does manage to sneak in there will simply steam off from the heat of the engine. There's no way you're going to get a large enough amount of water in there to A. get thru the hydro shield and B. hydrolock the engine

EDIT: unless the scoop ur talking about is a cowel induction kind of scoop, then water will get in when ur sittin still, but ur not gonna have issues either way
