Rear Defogger Out
Rear Defogger Out
so as the title says, the rear window defogger is out. i've replaced all visible fuses but it still isnt working. is there an inline fuse somewhere thats not easily visible? something else i should check out? thanx
just checked em. the one on the driver side was slid down A LITTLE bit. im wondering if it might have been enough for them not to get contact. well we'll see tonight i guess. its been freezing ass cold the past couple nights.
I repair these things on a daily basis. There is on most cars a relay as well for the rear defogger. Usually located in the engne compartment fuse box. Check you manual out and see if we have them in our cars.
As well use a pen style voltage tester and put the clamp end on some bare metal and touch the pen tip to each grid on the rear window. If its lighting up you have a bad ground which is located on the drivers side(the tab where the wire plugs in is the ground) could be the pass..I forget lol. then unplug the positive side of the defroster(other tab on window) and put the tip of the pen in that and the clamp end on metal...if it lights up you have power...if not then you don't.
I'd check the relay first as its the usual culprit.
