rear drums are awesome.

Yeah so my driver side rear drum brake locked up today after I washed the car... Had to take the wheel off and everything, moved the shoes around still dont know if i did anything but that fixed it...

Im guessing a little water got inside the brakes and locked it up... Maybe I'll take it to the dealer and try to get new brakes with my warranty (good luck there....).

Is there any rear drum to disc conversion kits out there? I know you have to change basically everything and I'm not sure how that would work out with the e-brake.

A conversion would be way too expensive IMO.

After every couple of tire rotations, take the drums off and spray everything down with brake parts cleaner. That should keep things from getting too caked up.

indeed. I think the company he got the kit from was running some kind of group buy on the conversion kits, I don't know if the GB is still active though.

lol i had my drums lock up after water froze in them overnight... just warmed it up and it was all good haha.

And that guy with the ion did the convertion relatively cheap, i think it was less than $500.
