Talking Spanky's back on da boost

Well ladies and gents I got a complete s/c kit coming I will keep this thread updated on how it goes getting my boost back. I've always missed the Tial BOV but I have been addicted to the s/c whine.

Wow just looked back at what had happened in the past. What do you still have from the original car that didn't sell?

No, can't afford that. TVS is twice what I paid for the kit.

2.8 Comes in the kit so I'm gonna run that with 60's if I can find a set. Got a base tune for the 60's on the turbo.

So if I lose the a/c radiator will I be able to get away with the stock HE? Haven't had a/c in 3 years and although I can fix it I have only had maybe 10 times in the last 3 years where it would have been nice.

Link to the kit....and I did pick up an LSJ harmonic dampner today!

now i just need a UEGO and 60's.

Buy an Innovative over the UEGO. Better gauge and same price.

It will fit but I'd like to be able to just run the 2.8 without having to buy an aftermarket HE. Bad enough I need to get the 60's and wideband.

Damn auto wreckers in Decatur suck ass. They don't do pick and pull and that means they end up chopping the **** outta harnesses and take all the good bits. I did get a bezel for my dual gauge pod project and I picked up that replacement a/c line so my wife can get her precious cold air back. Installed the line and was about 5 minutes from buying an a/c recharge before I realized I'd be opening up a charged system to replace the L61 a/c compressor with the LSJ unit. I'll just leave well enough alone for now. Gonna pick up the cavi ecotec injector harness from a pick & pull in kanekakee next month, no splicing required. So it looks like I won't be boosted until then. I'm really not feeling like chopping up the only injector harness I got right now.

I do understand your point. My spare harness got spliced and sold with my turbo kit. I'd just as well have a spare so the stocker is always good. You just never know.
