What adapter plate? I don't believe their is one that would work on a 2.2, the only one I see is one that is a block off plate and allows you to run a turbo instead of a supercharger.

It could possibly work all you would need to do is fab up a custom intake.

Gains are probably very minimal though and I don't think it would be worth it.

I'm guessing it would also need to be tuned.

i was going to use it for the a turbo build the block off plate is what i was going to use so that i can use my throttle body. I didnt want it to add to much hp but it will hold mor boost then a plastic one so i figured it is worth shot.

If you are going to run some boost through it, you may want to consider using the laminova cores along with an air to air setup. That would be double intercooled.

Well the way you made it seem like in the OP was you were using the LSJ mani for a N/A engine. It will bolt directly to your block, except when I did my 2.2 S/C swap, you will need the lower support bracket for the LSJ mani and I think you will need spacers and longer bolts for your alternator.

Wait, OP. Are planning on using an LSJ or LNF intake mani?

If you do the supercharger install on a 2.2l you need the supercharger. The intakes are designed to connect to the right side of the supercharger while looking at your bay from the front of the car. The supercharger inlet is not directly over the IM so nobody that has an sc will have an intake that will work for you. All SC intake go to the blower. You would have to do the piping your self I think, doesn't seem like it would be to hard as long as you got the supplies.

Scroll through the pics on this page to see what I mean:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-2l...4/index13.html

you going to be looking for a piping solution (prolly custom generic pieces and couplers) kind of like this, obviously the routing would be to on or the other sides until you get the turbo:
http://zzperformance.com/products_img/922_1.jpg
(thank you zzp)

FYI, if you decide to route the intake to the right side of the car, you have washers fluid in the way, you'll need to relocate that.

EDIT: Good question hyper, what mani do you have? I assume its from the LSJ supercharged from the factory ?

EDIT #2: I fail, I thought you were asking about using the lsj mani while still NA (no turbo or super charger installed).

If I am reading the OP's posts right, he wants to use an LSJ intake mani, and use a ZZP block off plate to run a turbo (Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance).

Mr.N00blar, basically he wants to use an LSJ intake mani for a turbo instead of using the stock plastic mani or having to get one custom made.

Like I said though when I had my LSJ intake mani for my S/C kit, zzp added longer bolts and spacers for the alternator, so the intake mani could fit, and by doing that I think you would need a different sized belt. Other than that though it fits fine.

yes i want to use the LSJ intake for a turbo. I wanted to know the piping situation because i look at the intake and the inlets are routed together. I guess the question is should i not use this intake and just use the 2.4 intake i just figured the lsj being metal could handle more boost then the plastic one.

What oyu circled in red is not on hte 2.2L manifold. Those ports are for cooling fluid to enter/exit laminovas in the intake manifold. You do not have this seperate cooling system in the 2.2l from the factory. You might be thinking of the power brake booster hose? This is not the same as what you circled in red btw.
