yeah welcome to our journey. My car doesn't feel like its pulling any harder after the cams and tune. idk if its on vinces end or am i just not feeling it? Would a 2.5 exhaust help to reduce back pressure from the cams? This weekend were gonna throw nick 2.4 mani on my car any see if we notice anything different. If so ill have to buy one of those and (pay for another tune)

no we used the same tune. He said my a/f ratios is ok and everything. he also said he starting to see some Knock retard from where i have no idea so he didnt want to push it to far. so this weekend were going to do some more data logging and send it in so he can review it after a full drive cycle. he sent us a new tranny tune so well see what happens this weekend. but nick and i seem disappointed we really didnt feel any difference or maybe we didnt notice it

Idk Vince got alot of reviewing to do on the data logging. Need a new start map because i got to give it gas to start, car jerks like hell at a stop light while i let it in drive, also got to fix it so when i let off the gas it dont drop to like 500 on the rpm gauge and jump back and forth for like 2 minutes until it catches it's self.

yea, thats what i just went through. the only thing in my motor i dont got is adjustable timing gears, lifters and rockers. did you ever pull the timing cover off for timing the motor? what all are you doing to your motor? crank and all? what hp you shooting for?

he said if you add performance parts its like 120ish (i cant remember but got the price sheet) and doing just adjustments to remove CELs and adjust things (ex fan temp) cost like 90. id have to check to see for sure tho. and we had a base tune but with the car not idling correctly he sent a new tune for a 150 higher idle and its still very skittish on idling

he reviewed all i sent him but said everything looked fine. i know with the bigger cams you may see knock because valvetrain noises are the same frequency as knock sensor, so that may be what he is seeing and not pushing more outta it. yea just after we get a full drive cycle the car should be set and the data logs should be more accurate

these issues with tuning are making me weary of going with those cams...was gonna be my next purchase too but I can't afford to deal with those drivability issues while the tune gets worked out.

well so far i havent had a problem with mine other than that my cam timing was out. mike had the same problem. jason and matts cammed cars run great from what they say. we tried a cam gear tool and it didnt stay in time. so we had al n wes (witt and wsfrazier) come over and pull the cover and time it the right way. you rocking the stick or auto? i have seen just a few autos of all the tunes that complained about the tcm tune.

honestly if you do the install correctly you should have no driveability issues with vince's tune
