ya...i just installed my valve springs, we shall see what this changes timing it this weekend with the stg2 cam :P

the cobalt community is cheap, 50$ is alot to most
and yes. more people street the car and want the power low and some high, as where people looking for the highest numbers/ best racing perf would sac a lil where you wont use it racing for where you will...aka most want it spread out as where fewer want more up top and sac down low.

look at hatrikstu (sp?) - he has the 4-2-1 and is putting down some AWESOME track times
i have the 4-2-1 and am putting down the highest WHP for N/A 2.2
i dont have a current dyno, as the last time i dynod the afr needed fixing and it was pulling ~20whp from me in timing....but..
with cia 4-2-1 header, 2.5" catless cia dp, 3" cia exhaust, cai, mrz alt & crank pullies, 2.4 tb, 2.4 intake mani, a shaved cyl head (.020" taken off), stage 2 cams and a bunch of supporting mods, i put down 180.16whp & 164.91 wtq
once the tuning was finished i carried the power all the way to redline, but i have not been dynod (car is down right now till timed...added 78lb valve springs)

So the 4-2-1 will not fall flat up high?.. I just figured with a tune you'd pick up bottom end lost with the 4-1, but what do I know. <-- Not sarcasm. So I'll put down higher numbers with the 4-2-1?

Side note: Isn't a 3" cat-back a bit big?

Thank you for all your information so far, you've been really helpful!

honestly i have not run their 4-1 on this setup, so i couldnt tell ya comparitivly, but i know that the smoother the gasses merge (way better with 4-2-1) the faster they will escape

and the 3" gets the proper pressures from the 2.5" dp and 2.5" muffler, the 3" is for future expansion and sound

mine isnt stainless, i didnt want to spend the extra cash...not really a show car

i went catless cause i wanted LOUD in your face hahaha, and it was cheaper at the time
cause i got their exhaust custom fit to an existing muffler i paid a pretty penny for install at their shop

Yeah, apparently catless won't provide much of a gain at all over a high-flow.

I don't even think they offer the 4-2-1 in stainless.. I know they do for the 4-1 though, and it's like $550 for the header alone.. But I'm getting ceramic coated so it shouldn't rust.

thats a good option! and your right, not much of a noticable gain between none and highflow

I'm totally down for catless.. But I don't want to have my exhaust sound like poopy.

I can't believe a stainless header is $250 more than mild steel. Ouch. Only $70 for a stainless DP though, so I'll be doing that.

What are your views on the LSJ injectors on a bolted and tuned L61?

Also, the 2.4TB is the best option for a TB right?.. Like the LSJ doesn't fit right?

for anything but boost the 2.4 is best (until you go crazy haha)

as for injectors i was about at the top of the range of stockers, but i would have been OK using them...although since im not done it was a good idea

My build in a few months will be done.. Until I decide if I want cams, or whatever else.

ARK GRiP cat-back (2.6" piping), 2.4 TB, 2.4 intake manifold, CAI 4-2-1 header/dp with high flow cat, Injen CAI, Trifecta tune.

Should lay down decent numbers for only bolt-ons.

Go with stage 2 cams and a ported head with valves and springs.
