i have the cosmo in my car very easy to install nice smooth shifts over stock slighty shorter throws. if you want shorter throws go with twm because the difference in throws from stock to cosmo isn't that big or at least i couldn't tell much of a difference but i still love it. which ever one you go with you will be happy just a matter of how much you what to do for installation and PRICE!!!

TWM STS
Pros:
-Shortest throws of any STS out there
-High quality materials
-Firmer/Solid shifts as it comes with washers that replace your rubber ones
-Reliable. TWM has a good reputation
Cons:
-High Price ($160-$180 Average)
-Requires taking apart nearly the whole centre console to install
-Requires cutting a small piece of plastic (Not too dramatic but still has to be done)
-Some have said that the shifter gets too close to the 2 drink holders in the centre console when in 1st,3rd and 5th gear. This is only what I heard.
Cosmo STS
Pros:
-Low Cost ($50 to $65 Average)
-Easy to install (No cutting just drops right in)
-Does not require to take the whole centre console apart. You can just remove the top shift console cover and your done.
-Easily can go back to the stock shifter if ever want to sell the car. (Leased Car, upgrading to SS)
-I have not had any problems with my shifter hitting my drink with my cosmo ever. Probably because of the curve in the cosmo STS shaft.
Cons:
-Not as short throws as the TWM
-The throws are less firm due to the fact that your not replacing the rubber washers with solid ones like on the TWM
-You have to knockout a pin to remove the Reverse Lockout. (Fairly easy to do)
-Not Ebay quality but TWM is a much higher quality piece

As far as taking apart the whole console this is true you have to take everything out from the front cup holders to the rear cup holders. It's not that big of a deal though. The console is held together mainly by clips and like 4 screws...Everything just pops off really easy. Just dont tug at it, gently but progressively pull and they just pop out.
Cutting a small piece of plastic is required as well well but it's just a little notch about maybe a 1/4 of an inch thick and can be done with simple cutting tools. I used a dremel.
I always thought the shifter was too close to the cup holders even when it was stock. Then again I always get big gulps and large drinks
