SUPERcharged!

i have the older 05 cobalt engine mount i just ordered the 06 engine mount and adapter to install on my car witch will be here on Monday but i have an issue still when i started it up it ran and stalled , the tensioners pushed against the the motor mount , it need to go about a 2/16 of a inch inward still , it does rub pretty good (only started the car twice so i didnt ruin anything) would this casue the engine to be under more load at idle and stall out ? casue the car revs and moves fine ( tensioners not touching under load) , just under idle it stalls . like i sayed i got the new engine mount coming and the car will sit till i get the mount in . but i wanna now if this would cause that

tnesioner shouldnt still be rubbing. Mine didnt even need to be ground, but the clearance is stupidly close (im sure it rubbed under a little engine movement). In fact, it shouldnt rub on the mount at all...you mean its rubbing on the engine block?

post up a pic

edit: if your issue is like below, then do as suggested and just grind some more.
if its rubbing against the motor mount though like you stated, then you've got issues

I think most people do some grinding because of the clearance -- 13th picture I think.

Installed on mp81's car:
