t3/t4 piping setup?

I am starting my turbo build in the next few months on my 07 LT, and had a few questions about the setup in a L61 engine bay..

I am going to run a standard t3/t4 and use the GM turbo manifold from OTTP.. My main question is how will I need to run intercooler/turbo/intake piping? I saw where OTTP sells a hot/cold side piping kit for the LNF's, but I'm not sure if that would be an easy way to run it or will the turbo and other parts have to mount in a different location? Any help on this, or any other tips I can get from boosted 2.2 owners is GREATLY appreciated. This will be my first turbo build, and being that my car is my DD I want to do it right! Thanks.

im not sure if you understand what you getting yourself into here, you can run the piping one of two ways

have the hot side come over the engine and down by the drivers side

have the hot side come over the engine and down by the passenger side

have you thought about the MAF? blow through, draw through, speed density? whos doing the tuning on it, what size turbo are you going with? how much boost? how much are you planning to push the envelope? etc etc

You basically cant use LNF pipes without serious mods to them. the LNF TB is on the BOTTOM of the intake....and you cant use an LNF intake.

couldnt you run the hot side from the LNF an LNF front mount.. a custom cold side. then make your own intake?

you can run the full LNF setup minus the intake manfiold and cold pipe, just fab a custom cold pipe. That what I would do.

Like the op say, your in for some fun, but totally possible, just a matter of how you want it to look, i ran my hotside underneath the engine, i just like the cleaner look, less piping running over the engine. But my original idea was to use a piping kit and intercooler from an lnf, then just mod the cold side pipe to fit my intake... Good luck with it...

B_faulk, how did you run it under? Last time I was under my car I didnt see enough clearance anywhere... although I wasnt really looking for turbo routing. lol.

And Glen229:

I am running blow-through with the ZZP MAF tube. And was thinking of a similar piping as BFaulk's. I only plan on running ~7lbs of boost, and am considering either the t3/t4 or I found a good deal on a GT25R that I may run instead (only issue being an internal wastegate, but with such a mild setup it shouldn't be too much of a problem).

Also, will an intercooler and everything run behind the stock 2.2 front bumper or will I need to upgrade to a SS or aftermarket front bumper?
