throwing cel codes

Hey everyone, for the last 3 days my car has been throwing the p0300 code but was running fine and this morning it threw the p0300 code along with p2135 and i was having major issues in first gear. Does anyone have any idea as to why these codes are being thrown and possibly a fix? This is my daily driver so i'm trying to get her running properly asap, any help would be greatly appreciated

Check your plugs for the p0300 code. Random misfires can be caused by any number of things but plugs seem to be the culprit usually. p2135 is a throttle position code. Try cleaning the throttle body and clearing the codes and see what you get.

i checked the plugs, regapped them and that didn't work so i took out that jet chip i had and one of the pins looked messed up. i think while my car was sitting in front of my house taken apart for 2 weeks something fucked up the chip and then after re installing it was throwing codes. the cars running fine now so i'm happy!

So the jet chip has been out for 2 days and the misfire code came back. Can the secondary air injection cause a misfire code if it has **** in it cuz i don't have a filter on it and the code only seems to flip when i first start the car. Also i am debating on iridium plugs to try and see if it's the spark plugs but any ideas/input would be helpful! I hate seeing my cel on :/

Secondary air injection just injects air into the exhaust to help with emissions as far as I understand so that shouldn't cause a misfire

That was my thought but it only throws it on a cold start. Also i just switched to iridium plugs and checked the gap so it isn't my plugs and my fuel delivery seems fine. Everything sounds and feels perfect but i just can't figure out why I'm getting this code

Could it be the new clutch/flywheel? Since the flywheel makes the car Rev faster

I'm going to guess a bad plug or bad coil. Is the code for a certain cylinder? or random misfire

Has nothing to do with misfires.

Random, only when i start the car and it doesn't happen every time. I also just got new iridium plugs and made sure they were gapped correctly and if it was one of the plugs wouldn't it only be that cylinder and consistent?

its probably just a single cylinder but not happening enough for the computer to register it to a certain cylinder

Cleared the code a few hours ago, just started up the car and the cel came on while the car was warming up and this seems to be the only time it happens. Could an aftermarket maf sensor be the culprit?

I'm also running 93 octane, should i go to 91 or 98 since i dont have that chip in my car anymore?

I meant to write 89 lol, but that chip required 93. Could that be why I'm randomly misfiring when my cars warming up?

No lol 93 is the best you cen get most places. You could have bad gas i guess but 89 isnt better than 93
