Without changing your ECU, no. You'll just get their faster.

why would you want to? i used to sell them and i wouldnt feel safe going that fast in a car than feels as sloppy as the 2.2
you better do suspension work or we'll be reading about you dying while racing a moped or a stock 1990 crx

My 07 2LT has been past 120. Don't know how far past because I ran out of speedo at 120

the cons outweigh the pros in driving excessively fast on a public road

couldn't you just do a swap from your ls (i'm assuming you have, because thats what they top out at) and switch it to a lt ecu because its the same engine/transmission but the only difference is the ecu is set to 125 instead due to better tires that come on the lt.

not true at all. i had my 2.2 up to about 115-120 and it felt rock steady. i didn't feel unsafe at all. it did take a long time to get there though

i can get to 100 pretty quick, after about 115 its a dog, but ive maxed out at 125 just like i should be able to: 3LT

honestly i drive about 80-85 to work everyday, ive had to rush sometimes and ive hit 100-110 quite a few times. 4 lane expressway with pretty fair roads and no traffic...ill take my chances

but the suspension on these things is so sloppy. i can turn my sterring wheel back and forth a good 10degrees each way and still go straight..eww

winnah!

I had my LS Sport up to 128, laterally it's rock solid, but watch out for those bumps at that speed! When you're going that fast it doesn't take much to make you go airborne

Don't we have speed sensitive steering in our cars?

I had my car up to 110..and decided to stop...i've never driven faster than 115..and that was in my rents Grand Am.

I dont like to go that fast alot..had a experience where a wind gust got under the car and the front end was turning and i was going straight..eeek.

Put on bigger tires. Fool your speedo into thinking you are going slower then you actually are.

with rims and tires the car felt fine at higher speeds on a closed track in a strait line. but when braking you can tell how bad the stock brakes are. After wheel and brake upgrades and suspention prolly too you could consider it cause it has the abilty to go as fast as you want to.

no its not. if it is, the dealer messed with it, you might want to get it fixed and anything else they may have messed up

3LT, unless somehow u got it without the 'Sport Package' (chrome exhaust tip, 17' alum rims, diff gauge faces, etc)

Yeah, i think all rack and pinion steering is like that. The steering response changes with speed. Safer in my opinion

for a 06 2.2 is there any way to swap the computer from another 06 2.2 cobalt with a higher speed limit cause mine is set at 105 and im building a turbo kit and really dont want to go standalone just yet.

I will be testing the SMT-6's Road Speed governor option which allows you to go past the governor without the car knowing. But you really shouldnt be going faster then 105 on the street. And if your going turbo, your going to need a lot more then just a turbo kit to get higher then 105 trap speeds in the 1/4 mile. If i were you you should we worrying about a lot more things then the governor. Trust me...
