Topout?
I have done it on the highway, but its still not safe and shouldnt be done. Its dangerous and if your going to go faster then 105mph, it should be at the track. And if your car is going to take 90seconds to make 105mph anyways, ITS POINTLESS. Now my car WILL trap much higher then 105 in the 1/4, thats why im doing this project with the SMT-6. I know it will work, i just gotta get my forged internals in so i can finish putting my motor together.
The response itself does not change... turning 45 degrees will still equate to the same amount of wheel turn. What the sticker means when it says that is the power-assist itself is variable... i.e. it is harder to turn the wheel at higher velocities. The feature you're talking about is something you're going to have to buy an awful lot more car (and probably not american unless you get one of the very few) to get a hold of.
I will be testing the SMT-6's Road Speed governor option which allows you to go past the governor without the car knowing. But you really shouldnt be going faster then 105 on the street. And if your going turbo, your going to need a lot more then just a turbo kit to get higher then 105 trap speeds in the 1/4 mile. If i were you you should we worrying about a lot more things then the governor. Trust me...
i've hit the 125mph mark and i'm under the impression that its 110-125 and not 105-120. the averages seem to reflect that our cars are 5 miles over the stated speed governer rating.
