its just a wire and a resister chip. It wont give you anything in terms of hp.

No one has bought one. They are a scam. If you want advice about mods, just ask here first.

At my work we build electronic circuit boards and we have THOUSANDS of resistors in stock. Most of them are between $.05 and $.15 . People are making a crap load of money buying 200 resistors for $1 and selling each for 20 bucks.. Funny how people keep selling the because people keep buying them.

yea, you're going to find tons of them. the reason why is because people that have no idea what they're doing, see an advertised 40 hp gains for almost no money at all, put this crap on their car and somehow concinve themselves that it's faster when it's not.

they're probably the same kind of people that get a huge wing for the extra downforce on their 16 second car.

What about the JetChip is that also nothing but resistors inside a fancy box. They sell for almost $300 at mopac auto supply but I don't know how they can possibly increase hp by just pluggin it into your 0BD2 port
Rip off?
Or has someone here tried one before

The ebay ones plug into the MAF to make the car think the air is colder than it actually is, which colder air is denser with more oxygen so the car will then add more fuel. Sometimes they work, however 99.9% of the time they just bog your engine down because its running rich, waste gas that cant be burned because of a lack of oxygen, screw up your catalytic converter because raw fuel is being dumped into it, and make your car smell like total ass while going down the road.

If you want to try, they usually use a 30k ohm resistor. You should be able to figure out how it works from this post.
