alright, so i have an 05 LS, 5 Speed.

as of last year, i lost my sychro's for 3rd cause i let a friend drive it.

shortly after that, 5th and reverse started acting up. i could shift into 5th fine, and it'd work normal, till i left off the throttle and then stepped back on it. reverse would almost do the same, but sometimes it just disengages as soon as i start to let off the clutch. i've been trying to diagnose what the issue is with 5th and reverse, but i cant figure it out. any suggestions?

sounds like your not putting it all the way in gear...i mnot sure what could cause that except maybe shift cables, shifting fork....
not too up on my tranny compnents lol
