Turbo 2.2 L??

ok...

last nite i was laying in bed and i had just had a night out with my boy and he happens to have a sick ass sti...about 15lbs boost...and his **** runs nice!!

i was wondering what would it take to haver a complete turbo build on my 2.2
i dont want a big ass turbo as i use my car daily. I was thinking more likea smaller turbo but something that will give my car some booooost...lol

i herd turboing a car puts a **** load of wear and tear on your engine. so my question is

what kind of turbo would you guys think would run nicely on my car without all the wear and tear??

thankx

Get the Garrett Alpha turbo kit. It'll put you at about 200whp.

none, the car wasnt built to handle that extra power.

it can handle the power if the internals are built right. maybe everyone is forgettin but the cobalt nhra car has a 2.2 in it not the 2.0. its extremely modded but none the less still a 2.2 and besides that the blocks of the 2.2 2.4 and 2.0 are all the same they just been built up differently.

I think its more of a suspension type of issue than the engine not being able to handle the power. The SS has better control arms, sway bars, struts, springs all to handle the extra power. the 2.2 was built as a comfortable econo-box. You can still put a turbo on by all means, you just might want to consider a few other upgrades as well. A new clutch would be a good idea too
