Ugh dreaded CEL =(

Well my CEL came on and I took it to autozone for a scan.

Codes are:

P0449 and P0452

Help =(

More then likely both are the vent solonoid on the canister in the back...

No but both codes correlate to somthing either venting out or ect. Once code is a purge valve and the other is a pressure sensor inside the tanks, so more then likely the valve is bad causing you to suck the pressure up or the valve is stuck closed causing to much pressure in the tank!

nothing, just rough idle at the most.

Many of us have had the evap codes.

I think I know what you're talking about with the idle. Does it kind of kick lightly sometimes when your foots off the gas? So long term what could the effects be say a year or two from now?

I have an evap solenoid code too, its like a 25 part and 2 bolts, i'm just to lazy to fix it. only time i have issues is right after i get gas if i dont feather the throttle while starting it takes a little more.

They actually might be covered under warrenty, if you dont have an serious mods take it to a dealer, i know there are quite a few in kzoo (lived in michigan until 5months ago)

I was getting p0496 and 455 and mine was evap purge.

I got both replaced under warranty. Evap system is covered much long than bumper to bumper

I wrote a how to on the Vent valve. you can do it yourself no problem. i made it harder than it had to be.

It turned out an animal got under the car and decided to chomp off a couple of wires under my fuel tank.
