As far as exhaust fitment all exhaust fit on every model of cobalt. Wether its header, downpipe, or cat-back they have the same fitment. Size is the diff. between the diff. companies. This would depend on what you plan on doing with you car. keep in mind that going cat-less is going to make your car loud and and sound like ****. 2.5" is the biggest you want to go. anything after that is pointless and will make you car sound like crap aswell.
