im having a problem with my power steering. I get a message on the message center that says "POWER STEERING", then I lose it. I can turn the car off, then turn it back on, and power steering is back. It goes out every 15-20 minutes. Anybody ever have this problem before?

 

no, but my abs did that **** once.

 

I had my LS have some weird steering clack noises and the light never came on.
But it felt like the power was not always there.

I took it in and the computer was reflashed to up the power output to the steering.
Odd fix, but it has never messed up since.

 

It's a normal problem, not normal but it happens often on these cars

I had that problem. Turns out it was basically the whole power steering unit going bad, and it has to be replaced as an entire self contained unit. Was like $700 for parts+labor i think.

 

yeah mine needed it done after a year hopefully yours is under warranty just needed a new power steering motor

 

i had this EXACT same problem a few months back... you need new powers steering, expensive as hell if i remember correctly.....
