I bought a scam off eBay to show some one it does not work and that it's a waste of time, but I want to add it to his car to prove it

And no I did not pay 50.00 for it I bought one for .05 cents

Yea. THe resistor says a drop in voltage which does the same effect as flooring it. The motor might not be reving faster, but your dumping more fuel than normal.

yeah that won't help you, it'll only decrease your gas mileage, and disrupt your air-fuel ratio. your IAT is your Intake Air Temperature, helps keep the platinum wire inside your MAF regulated for better true air intake measurements
