Don't know if you NEED it, but it does work with it. Any CAI or SRI is going to work with the 2.4 manifold. I seriously doubt you need an intake simply because the intakes on the 2.2 and 2.4 are identical.

You dont NEED an intake. The reason you SHOULD get one is because when you swap from a 2.2 to a 2.4 manifold, it moves the throttle body a bit, and the stock air intake doesnt fit quite right. I made mine work, and my CAI should be here next week.

ummm whoever told u that is wrong the k&n sri works perfect with the 2.4 mani i had it
the stock intake is a tight fit with the 2.4 mani because the throttle body sits more towards the front of the car

The 2.4 TB is positioned in the center of the manifold, while the 2.2 TB sits off-center on the 2.2 manifold about 1/2" to the driver side.

If you're getting tuned, SAI can be turned off. Which opens up your selection of intakes and exhaust headers.
