ZZP LT header
So I got a ZZP LT header with catted dp. Decided Id actually install it on my car
I decided to slum it a little and do things like you guys do, no fancy tools, no secret tricks, just me a lift and a few tools. This is literally all I used to do the whole job except a 10mm wrench and a 1/4" wide chisel.

This is what I was trying to liberate....the craptastic manifold, yes its the "better" tubular one, but as you can see its still epic ghey. And the best part is the twin catted dp with the supersized 1 7/8" piping, crushed in several places of course.

I pulled the car in and just started tearing into it. Unlike most people who recommend letting the car cool, I like to work on exhaust with it as hot as I can physically stand. My car is 3yrs old has seen 2 of the harshest winters the east coast has had in a long time, and the manifold has never been touched, and all the related bolts and the O2 sensors just came right out, with just just regular sized ratchet and wrench(no extra long ratchets like I normally use, no penetrating lube of any kind)
The header will fit in from the bottom (on my F23 car anyway) but Because of my secondary air parts it actually was easier to just drop it in from the top. It fell right in place from the top, didnt have to fight anything to squeeze it down into place.
This header is of course designed for LSJ's so I was concerned about fitment, I can tell you that it fits my '08 L61 just perfectly. When manouvering it onto the exhaust studs it at first seems like it wont fit because of the heater pipes(a common issue on 07-up 2.2.s) but all it takes is just like 15 seconds of patience to get it oriented just right to sneak in past the water pipes and the timing tensioner "hump". once in it clears the pipes just fine.
Bolted everything up and tightened it all down and this is what it ends up looking like

and just a little bit of heat tape around the heater hose.

Sounds good. Calm at idle, get a little raucous around 3700-5200, as compared to stock with the Hahn catback. Should be good for 170whp no problem once I get a tune...

Oh.....the 1/4" chisel was used to modify the O2 jumper harness.....its for LSJ sensors and the L61 has different keys in the connectors, had to modify them to get it to plug into car. Other than that nothing out of the ordinary or remotely hard. Honestly its one of the easiest headers Ive ever installed. Theres plenty of access to all 10 nuts from the top, as I posted before all I used was a regular 3/8" ratchet, a deep 13mm socket and one 3" extension. no swivels, no flexes, no swearing, no bleeding. Just removing bolts.
When you mean drop it in from the top, you mean through the engine compartment with the hood up? It doesnt look like it would fit in the space but if it does that is nice! Sweet looking exhaust, you should get some vids up. Everyone says LTH sound good but I have yet to hear a car with them on.
According to the website they let you select your transmission type. I bought it for my auto on BF. I don't have a garage so unless the snow goes away or I borrow someones I wont be able to put it on until spring lol. I'll let ya know how it goes when I do finally get it on

without SAI the header literally just drops right down from top, yes top as in hood open and between valve cover and firewall.. Very easy. If youve got SAI youll have to remove the valve to install the header, but removing it is easy and you have to unbolt half of it to take out manifold anyway.
I havent tuned out anything yet. I get an SAI code after 2 cold starts, but I just clear it and go on with life, it will be tuned out eventually. I dont get any other codes.
I idnt take any pics of the connectors....but the extension harness has two alignment tabs inside it. My L61 only has one alignment tab in the sensors, so I had to remove the extra tab. A sharp chisel made quick work of it.
