the reason i know is because they've taken ss/scs that had that power, and stock tcs.
thats what they are rated at, but i had a 2.8 pulley with all the supporting mods possible and so do the other two cars. they handle the power just fine.
however with your boost its really hard to tell. what kind of turbo are you putting on? its a low level but 8 psi could still be a lot of power.
i'll put it the way zzp does. anytime you mod the car you're gonna stress the engine. if i were you i would do it and take it easy, and get a boost controller and gradually work your way up to a safe zone, and also start saving up money in case the engine does fail.
you're tranny however will def handle the tq, and the engine will go out before that will. just be safe with it, and use your head. you should be fine otherwise.
alright sounds good, now its time to save up the pennys, o hey if i get the 2.4 manifold will it benefit my turbo build or should i stick with the stock one since im going with boost....my guess is get the 2.4 mani

went down to windy city engineering today to talk to cus about the engine and nab a couple of teaser pics. we will have a very heavily documented tear down and rebuild starting next sat. pretty sure they talked me into a nice candy apple red paint job as well......bastards, lol. cus is looking forward to doing this build with us. what's family for? oh and the shop is a ******* candyland.

hpt is full of **** and should get fucked period. if they really wanted money they'd support all the cobalts, i think they're ******* lazy plain and simple. if vince can hack the 05-06 then i don't see why hpt does not have similar resources.

corperate america... thats what it is. they see it as they have to pay a team of people probably making 40-80k a year each to crack the ecu. then costs of ecus to desroy. then testing. so on and so forth, just for you to pay 550. how many sales does it take to recoup those salaries, r&d and time.

in my industry, Plastics, we sell time. time we arent spending making products for expanding markets will never be gotten back. we make our best effort to sell and produce to markets that are huge and ever expanding.

not sure if thats sarcastic. but its easier for people like him to undertake these projects, because thats what they feed on. small niches that big corperations wont even consider. a mom and pop machine shop will do what ever you need for your build but a huge multimillion dollar cnc company isnt gonna even think about doing it because they have peoples salaries and insurance and ect to pay for, all for what maybe a 1000 bucks? its not worth it for them. Im not trying to defend them cuz it sucks for you 05-06 guys but its how they see things.
