hands down the best catback is Option Racing. I might be the only person to say this so hear me out. I paid $161 for this catback shipped to my door, cut my old exhaust off and installed this in 20 minutes. Fit perfect. has a 3" tip so its not massive. It sounds AWSOME!!!! ZERO rasp, great deep tone, I run it without the silencer and its great, i get a ton of complements, and im an auto too, I left it in 1st the other day through a car park and someone thought i was a streetbike! I love the tone.

Compare that with a GMPP exhaust which is a slightly mellower tone, but costs $600-$700+. So its not the "best" exhaust. Might be the "best" sounding but not the best priced, Id save for it if i was really going for power, because I think my option exhaust would not sound good with header and DP probably bee too loud and too drony, and ive heard GMPP with header and dp and it sounded great.

So theres my 2 cents, i have no intention of doing a header and DP because i wouldnt want the exhaust any louder, so with that being said it might not be the best exhaust for you if your planning and header and DP.

So Option racing for a 2.2L auto?
I just want a nice deep tone while driving my sedan :P
Does it get annoying on long trips?
I leave for the Air force July 10, and when I get back from school I plan on drivingy car to the lower 48, I don't want something that's going to get annoying fast.

if it sounds like a street bike, i wouldn't think it has a deep tone to it.

you want soemthing deep you will need a chambered style muffler. i had a super turbo on my stock piping and it was beautiful. kinda wish i had kept it

like i said, when i wind it out in 1st gear it sounds like a street bike. I didnt specify that the deep tone is the under 3-4k rpms in cruising, and when i first got it i thought it was a little loud for cruising but i dont know whether it broke in or i got used to it but its fine now, and it does come with a silencers that quiets it up enough to pass inspection and makes cruising fine.

For just a nice mellow, deep sound, not too buzzy (ricey) and not ear killing drone at highway speeds. I have an exhaust system for you that sounds quiet in day to day driving but deep and aggressive at WOT.
And the best part is it's FREE!
Just keep your stock muffler with K&N Airraid intake. Trust me it sounds much better than you think....but looks wise it's just ugly old stock muffler. If you want looks AND sound then something else. But if all you want is great sound that's all you need.

I just installed my Magnaflow, #16618, and it sounds great! No rasp, deeper tone, but not too loud. 2.25 inch pipe to a 3.5 tip.
