Chip.
they do work i used to work for them but it definately wont work as much as a real tune would...i mean zzp sells a canned tune which is pretty much same as a chip/module and they work great just not as much power as real tune
Chips ONLY work as a viable tuning solution on OBD1 cars, when all cars had removable chips in the computer that could be reprogrammed. My Monte Carlo Z34 is OBD1 and works this way. All OBD2 cars (1996-now) work much better being hooked up to a laptop or special tuner to reflash the entire computer. chips are a thing of the past unless you're tuning OBD1.
my friend told me a friend of his has hptuners and might be able to tune my car. how does hptuners work? does it depend on the person doing the tune to determin if its good or what?
Hp tuners allows you to change just about anything to do with the electronics of the engine. And it completely depends on if someone is good or not. It's not like a programmer where you have certain files you can just flash to the car, you have to create that file first.

It depends on how familiar he is with the program. If he's really familiar with it, you could give it a shot but if it were me I'd want someone that's used to tuning cobalts just for the peace of mind that they should know what they are doing
