different heads?

I'm lookin to see what you guys can tell me here. WOuld there be any benefit to any head swaps from any of the other cobalt motors?

AFAIK all gen II ecos use the same head... but if im wrong someone please correct me. i know you can't use a gen I on a Gen II or vice versa do to DI and VVT.

Really...no. Like said, most are the same or similar (throughout the ECOTECs Gen II).

Even if you got a ported and polished head done, it costs a lot, its not worth anything unless you're getting camshafts done with higher duration / lift and even on top of that, its not worth it unless you're revving higher. All those head modifications ultimately shift your powerband upwards so you can make more HP but you need the RPMs to do it.

In my opinion, its only truely worth it on the ECOTECs if you are doing forced induction due to you being able to take advantage of the higher air volume capabilities OR doing a crazy N/A setup. Other than that, you're wasting your time and money. I'm speaking from experience.
