Downpipe

I thought downpipes were only for Turbo cars? Will this fit my non turbo 2.2?

Gotcha, so heres my second question... lets say I got that ZZP downpipe - would it bolt up to the rest of my stock exhaust? like wouldnt the flange sizes be different etc?
Also, if I went catless, is there any harm in that? Codes? Car running rough? Fail emissions?

If you go catless, you will fail emissions if they use an 02 sensor. You may get a cel, but that can be tuned out. I would personally get a high flow catted downpipe on a 2.2, catless is gonna sound raspy.

Well they offer a MagnaFlow cat pre-welded into the downpipe for an extra $50... should I just go that route?

That'd probably be your best bet. A bit more refined sound, and you should be able to pass inspection, and you won't get a cel.

the flange to the catback should bolt up. the flange to the manifold might not depending on what you get. before i purchased i would double check to make sure the downpipe you get has the compatible 3 point flange and not a 2 bolt flange and double check to make sure its long enough to fit for the stock manifold and its not designed for a midlength header or anything like that.
