Yes. Get the 2.5. The 3 in is too much for a 2.4

Not to thread jack but makes me wonder if my lsj dp is too big for my 2.2. Motor runs great and still has a ton of torque down low so I thinks its fine.

lsj is only 2.5 inches i believe. maybe 2.75. if it runs fine, keep it. the cost of a new downpipe to drop to a 2.5 is not worth it

I've ran a 3 inch reduced to 2.5 on my auto 2.4. Lowend tq slightly effected. But could still spin both 205's on a warm day for a couple of feet. But top end was much improved. I tried a 2.5 dp once and I think between the sudden drop from a 3 inch collector to a 2.5" downpipe caused some rasp. I'm actually going back to a 3" dp reduced to 2.5" now. So to each their own. To me my thinking is the 3" collector to 3" downpipe reduced to 2.5" at the catback and through a 2.5" catback is a smoother transition than it would be if it was 3" to 2.5" suddenly.
