GM exhuast

I was shopping around for an exhuast system for an 09. I am not a big fan of the fart can look and the GM exhuast appears to be a more stock look. Anyone have any opion on the sound and proformance of it? Also anyone know the price of it? The GM website don't give out prices. Thanks for yalls help.

Wow that was quick. Thank you guys. I would be interested in buying the exhuast system off of you. But I noticed the 3 bolt patteren I tought the 2.2 used a 2 bolt pattern or is that just after you replaced the exhuast manifold? Also would you mind if I picked it up instead of paying shipping? Ohio is only 2 hours away from ware I am going to college.

Bolt pattern won't matter, since you'll be getting a full exhaust... but unless the 2.2's changed their bolt pattern in 08/09... this is the stock bolt pattern. manifold outlet is 3-bolt. Downpipe Exit is 2 bolt.

And pick up is GREAT in my book. I'd rather not ship it.

okay I didnt want to start a new thread for 2 stupid questions. I have my GMPP on order whats the best way to remove the old stuff, salvaging as much as possible. I was thinking cut off the rusted-ass bolts and replace them with stainless, but how do I get the old one out without chopping it? and is there any sort of trick to removing the rusty bolts or just straight cut em off?

I just used an impact wrench to get the bolts off- worked great. Just soak them with PB Blaster or some other penetrating lube first, and let that soak.

The exhaust comes with all the hardware you need (clamps and 2 new bolts to go to the downpipe- all stainless). As for trying to salvage the stock exhaust, if you don't want to cut it, I believe you have to drop the rear axle to get it out all in one piece.

The easiest way to remove the stock exhaust is to cut it. You will want to cut it around 6-8" in front of the axle. (I think that's where I cut it off at). All in all, it only took me about a half hour, and if I wanted to reuse the stock exhaust, I could go and have it welded back together.

Easyest way I have found to get rusted bolts out is a torch heat breaks up the rust and you can litterly punch out bolts. I haven't been under the cobalt to see the set up can't really help ya anymore then that sorry.
