has anyone noticed?

has anyone nitced a difference in performance when changing from regular oil to synthetic? I just hit 3116 miles on my car so I decided it's time for an oil change so I got some castrol synthetic with a new filter from my local advanced auto parts for 25 bucks on sale and The first thing I noticed was the engine is a little more quiet and smooth while idling, and I still get a little rumble when vvt kicks in. I'm also curious as to what plugs would be better for our engines? I've got factory plugs right now but was wondering if there's some good spark plugs out there that may benefit me. if there are what are they and what benefits will I gain? sorry I'm sure it's been asked a million times.

i switched to synthetic, didnt see any difference. but it was only a few dollars more and synthetic can run longer, so it was worth it

I don't have the LAP, but I am a 2.2L, and I switched to synthetic at 3,500 miles. I have always used Royal Purple with a stock filter from the dealership and now I am at 14,700 miles.

I can't really tell because the first 3,000-ish miles, I didn't really "beat" on my car, per say, but I feel better about having it in my car. Pretty much everyone I know says it's a waste but whatever.

Yeah, I mean I know it resists better to thermal breakdown or whatever, but who gives a ****. Changing your oil every 3,000 miles with conventional, or every 6,000 miles with synthetic is the same in my opinion. I just go every 3,000 with synthetic just for peace of mind because I know I drive my car really hard.

I agree, though.

At around 3,000 I changed to full synthetic and I didn't notice anything at all. I'm sure when I fire it back up after installing the supercharger I'll feel a lot better.

well I didn't say it's really that quiet, but it's surely smoother. and I love it. and I don't think it's the placebo effect. ha. I didn't expect or think I'd have any differences. it's not the same concept, but thanks for the input. ha ha.

no gains from it. synthetic just leads to more leaks, and more expensive. idk what all the hype about it is, but imho its no better than regular oil.
