Injen intake

i installed my intake over the weekend and installed it as a short ram intake. it is also able to be converted into a cold air but i would have to take off my bumper and the whole installation would of been longer.

i would just like to get some opinions as to which set up is better to see if its worth installing it the other way.

cold air will be better because of pulling in cooler air. I didnt have to take my bumper off for the intake though.....i took everything out and put in through the headlight hole.

ive had both and the short ram was much better. its gonna have a SLIGHTLY lower top end hp but the increase in torque across the power band is well worth it. and paired with the 2.4 intake manifold is MONEY!

i was pretty impressed in the torque curve after my short ram

had injen cai and now have a k&n tyhpoon

yeah same story here minus getting the K&N.

when it was in cold ram setup it would feel really lethargic before like 3500. like i was pressing on it and it wouldnt gas. with the short ram? **** thing feels awesome down low and it growls if you rev it.

main reasons i switched to short ram was because i ended up buying a new filter and that **** was too big. i even made sure i matched specs to what injen listed on their site but something must have gotten lost in translation, so the filter wouldnt fit in the bumper.

so i said eff it. took the cold air pipe off and turned it over and went there was a series of gashes in the back of the pipe from rubbing the fenderwell.

so all said and done im happy with short ram for now. and im gonna see if i can get someone at my companies machine shop to rig up a stainless lower intake tube.
