installing boost gauge

where can i get a vacuum source to hook up my boost gauge? i know its major rice to have a boost gauge and no f/i... but i have the turbo kit i just need to install it.

the brake booster is too big and the evap is hard plastic... unless i change it from plastic to rubber, i see no way to install it shy of buying an $8 fitting and tapping the manifold.

I replaced my factory boost gauge with AEM's digital one. I taped here and I have boost and vacuum now...

You won't be able too.... why don't you just wait till you have your setup on before you install a gauge that does nothing for you right now

im putting a boost gauge in my car now, there should be a small port on the manifold that has a rubber boot on it, hook the gauge to that, im putting on the boost gauge now then waiting for you to finish your build thread to ad the turbo

i would have to see a pic, but either line will work. just the evap line is plastic and hard to do it with. and you say your manifold has a vacuum nipple?

i dont have the nipple, my friend said that he hooked his up witht the nipple but i think he has a L61, so if i cut part of the hard plastic evap line, put in a rubber tubing, then put a vacume T between it, i can install the boost gauge?

thats what i did to hook my vacuum gauge up. cut the the line, put the T in there, then ran the tube to the gauge. and its worked for almost a year and half with no problems
