Intake Swaps

Hi everyone has been over a year since I have been here. Just pulled the cobalt out for the spring.(I park my car all winter, it's a 2010 2.2l with all the options) I have been looking into some intake upgrades. Now to my understanding a 2.4 intake manifold/MAF Will bolt right up to my motor correct? Basically my car is super slow but i wouldn't mind some easy bolt on upgrades.

A LAP 2.2 has the 2.4 manifold already. I got a 2.4 throttle, injen cai, and zzp shorty header with full exhaust. It pulls alright, but want fast so got me a supercharger. I did 15.8 1/4 with that and I only ran once so could have gotten a better reaction time.

15.8 is not bad. Do you have the 2.4 MAF as with the 2.4 TB?

keep my MAF? lol do i have an option, due to the fact its regulation air flow. Im just asking if there is a bigger MM MAF then my OEM one currently installed. For example, is a 2.4L MAF bigger than mine? meaning if it is bigger will it allow more airflow, or even a 2.0L SS MAF would be nice too. As long as i could install it and reset my computer and the MAF calibrates ok with my air/fuel ratio. ]

Also, isnt the MAF part of the air box housing? if so how are ppl doing CAI lol

No I have stock MAF.. saw no reason to change it lol. But no, not 15.8 on blower setup. Haven't installed my supercharger. I did that with the zzp header, magnaflow exhaust, injen intake, 2.4 throttle.

when I had my lap I put the older style 2.4l intake manifold and I noticed I had more top end power and when I swapped the stock manifold back on (09 and up lap and 09 le5 and up share the same manifold) I noticed I had better low end power so if you want better top end for your lap put older style 2.4 manifold on

The amount of air you are flowing I do not believe a bigger MAF will help you.

Most noticeable gains will be from a short ram/true cold air intake (into the fender), and a header/exhaust setup.

Also... FI will be the biggest gain.

to make your own intake (to replace the large plastic bellow) what angle bends are needed?

I already figured out the TB is 2.75" and the maf outlet is 3"
