Possible? Yes. It's gonna take a lot of money and work though. By chip, do you mean those ebay chips? Cuz those are junk. Trifecta tune is what you want.

Easiest way is with NO2 but its possible to build the motor to 200+. Your gonna spend alot more money for a lot less power if you wanna go N/A

50 shot of Nitrous with some bolt ons.

As far as all motor, you'd easily spend about 4 times as much as you would have by going FI. All motor works pretty well on large displacement V8's, but it sucks for small displacement 4 bangers. The highest powered N/A GM 4 cyl I've seen was the W41 Quad 4, but you had to rev the **** out of it because of the way the cams were.

Doing it N/A is really expensive, especially for the power you get. Better off going FI like others have said.

take it from someone who went the N/A route, its a waste of time. u can get good gains with bolt ons but the cars never gonna be hot **** fast. depends what the purpose of ur build is tho too. thats a big thing to consider, wether boosting or going N/A.

Don't listen to them

Engine
------

2.4 intake manifold $175 + if done yourself

ced I/M $250
2.4 throttle body $150

tsudo exhaust 2.25 3.5 tip $250
ZZP header downpipe combo $470 with highflow cat an o2 bung (bug them for discounts )

comp cams 650,
zzp retainers 190, or supertech for stage 2 cams, 370
trifecta tune 250

roughly 2000 bucks for parts, cause you will need little more than that. anyhow that will get you stage 1 or stage 2 cams, figure 25hp with stage 1, 35hp with 2.

now add in whether or not you are doing this yourself for installing, or having a shop do it (another 1000?)

ballpark figures 185 for stage 1, 195 for stage 2. Ask huckerage though he's stage 2, but he has serious weight reduction, but he got low 14,s before cams, we are waiting for him to get us a good time with them.

so yes with turbo you'd spend the same and get much more; but it's not super expensive like people make it, and you will have a sexy cam lope, and a strong powerband and an extremely rev happy engine.

optional but down the road as your clutch goes to hell
-----
Driveline
------

Act performance clutch, raceinspired.com $122
exedy racing stage 1 clutch, $280 ottperformance
300 for lightened flywheel exedy racing

also
-------
Traction
--------
OTTP Rotated Trans Mounts $205
Ingalls stiffy engine torque damper $165

TC Strut/Shock, Rack Spacers and Pedders Combo Suspension OTTperformance $600

or ARKS for $189 to $230,

Cobalt FE5 Struts and Shock Pkg FE5-S $280 Crateenginedepot.com

NOTE==========
This is the cheapest route i have found, this is by all means not the best, but a lot of members on here will let you know these products are very good quality, it's by all means not the worst, far from it.

its really fun to play with a rev happy engine. swap out all pulleys to light ones, lightweight flywheel etc. reving to 8000+ is always a blast.
