Steering wheel shakes after braking hard a few times

Well I've noticed over the past week if I do any sort of spirited driving and am braking hard after a few times braking my steering wheel will start to shake (quite badly to the point where I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to stop for an intersection) when breaking and it Progressively gets worse.

If I park the car for a bit it'll go back to normal with no shaking and as long as I'm not braking hard often I have no problems.

Anyone know what this could be? It's a 2009 LS 5 speed which doesn't have ABS.

As a side note I did just install a TTR upper engine mount (when I took out my old one I found the top piece cracked in half, good thing I was replacing it) but I don't see how that could effect this.

My first though was badly warped rotors but then I don't have any issues with it after it sits for a while.

First thing id check is rotors...my wheel vibrates when i brake hard but not when normally braking because of my rotors

Sounds like a reason to upgrade my brakes
