LFR6A or NGK 6668 (same thing, two part numbers) make sure you get the one WITHOUT the -11 at the end. The -# indicates an extended spark plug gap. Your gonna wanna run the .032 gap from here on out. (that part # come pregapped at that)

It could just be the crappy autometer gauge then. Try switching it for something else.

I looked into it just now but its pretty expensive. Does anyone know what resonator and muffler it uses? I have a friend that can make the piping.

Also read somewhere on here that 3.1 pulley is the smallest to go on with stock lsj injectors, wanted to get one but do I need another belt? Or larger tensioner pulley?

Pretty cool. SC is far cheaper to go than turbo.

Great thread and build, congrats on the car. It seems the SC is our only option for boost if we wanna keep our LAP's in one piece lol or a turbo with only 5lb of boost lol

It was lol I spend about $1500 on the whole thing with trifecta tune. And unless you wanna build a forged motor SC is the way to go for the LAP. A year late but saw these replies when I looked up my older build thread haha.

I keep having to change my spark plugs almpst every 6k-8k miles because they get compression leaking at the base of the plug. Will getting a colder plug help prevent this or do I need to gap them differently? Yes the car is still running strong and have had no issues after about 3 years haha

Nice build man. I was debating on doing this with my 09 G5 but it was an autotragic. I was thinking of going SS coupe and just swapping the G5 body panels/steering wheel air bag hahaha easier

Believe it of not, mine is automatic too haha. Its actually pretty fun. And its faster in auto than the manual cobalts i have raced. I actually have a kit in gonna sell soon if you are interested. New things coming to the car soon. Ill update the build thread in a few days with pics of what i have done.

Supercharged vs. NA? No way the 4-speed auto Cobalt is faster than manual unless the manual driver is just learning how to drive stick.

No i have raced my friend in a stock lsj and took him by about a car. Also beat a stage 2 lsj by like half a car. Idk how good they are at shifting but i know my auto took them. Maybe i got lucky? Who knows, i am just stating my experience lol.

I believe you. That would just amaze me if the Auto was the factor that allowed you to win.
