Got my manifold mounted today with the phenolic spacer on!

definetly going to need a 2.9 pulley to get my belt back on. Silly me thought I could wrestle a 3.0 pulley on....

I recommend ZZP's adjustable tensioner. Also I found this information from a MrBelvedere post on this forum way back for different double sided belt lengths that will work with LSJ belt routing. I have the phenolic spacer along with ZZP's 1/2" spacer plate for my methanol injection nozzles so my belt sizing required custom. Even with custom belts though having adjustability of the ZZP assembly to get the tension just right has been critical.
All are 6 rib double side belts with a 20mm width.

Ac Delco #12585151-71.25in(1809.75mm) stock
Ac Delco #12597993-69.56in(1767mm) stage 2. Those are best answers to length we found

Dayco #6060792- 70.19in(1782.82mm). Stock replacement

Gates DK060472- 48.5in(1233mm)
Gates DK060519- 53in(1348mm)
Gates DK060650- 66.125in(1680mm)
Gates DK060674- 68.5in(1741mm) closet to stg 2
Gates DK060702- 71.25in(1811mm) stock replacement
Gates DK060718- 73in(1853mm)
Gates DK060725- 73.75(1872mm)
Gates DK060729- 74.25(1885mm)
Gates DK060791- 80.375(2043mm)
Gates DK060867- 87.875(2232mm)
Gates DK060956- 95.75(2432mm)

Thanks JD, Fingers crossed I won’t have any issues. haven’t started it just yet..

Definitely tighter than it was before.
I had to dip the snout to get the belt on this time and bolt the supercharger on quickly while my left hand was compressing the tensioner haha really sucked

If I build my engine I could totally justify converting to LSJ drive system/ adjustable tensioner but as long as this 5 rib setup doesn’t slip I don’t mind what’s holding belt tension really haha

I forgot you were using that. Did fine for my 3.1" pulley on M62 but slipped when I swapped over to TVS with 2.9. M62 maybe has less load at same pulley size so could just squeak by if it's tight enough.

I guess I’ll find out soon enough. I’ll go for a little romp tmr hit some boost
Just fired it up now though, sounds good,

Romp's a lot harder now! Looks like she peaks a steady 13.5 psi, some KR going on but nonetheless made my highest torque readings ever!

Probably do a Boost reference fuel system next haha

What injectors are you running and are you having any issues with idle? Unless your setup requires more range out of the injectors, BRFP setup isn't really going to gain you anything over a properly configured tune on your current setup.

60s, I get light misfires out of gear sometimes but other than that its mint.
I just thought cause my PCM can't regulate boost over 12 well, fueling would be more accurate/ safer.. Also would lay down ground work for an engine build etc down the line..
But what your saying is just let my tuner do his thing, few psi over 12 is no biggie

Yeah at least consult him to see if he thinks it's required for something doesn't have room to compensate for. If you switch over to BRFP you'll have to have your tune completely readjusted because the stock ECU doesn't read fuel pressure.

If youre looking for more mods to do and dont mind spending the money, I vote do the return style fuel system. Definitely will make the car run smoother on 60s and its not to hard to adjust the tune for.

Essentially just at idle though with that low of boost level right?

Yeah thats what I meant. Since the regulator is 1:1 with vacuum and boost, it reduces the fuel pressure at idle and allows the injectors to have a larger pulse width(this makes them happy).

Hey G5Alive how you find the new intake manifold spacer? I might do this when I supercharge my g5 gt eventually. I will most likely be running the 3.1 pulley zzp provides as i',m not looking to make crazy power with this build just smooth reliable power and numbers. Build looks really good by the way. Keep up the great work.

thanks dude!

Im really enjoying the phenolic spacer.
No problems so far with the 2.9 pulley, I didn’t really want to go this low either but just seemed like the easiest path with limited space and to retain zzps 5 rib belt..
I actually bought the spacer about 2 years ago when I first got the sc kit so am really happy that it’s finally on.
first thing my tuner did was take 5 degrees of timing out across the board lol but will be tuning meth and adding it back.
Went on the highway the other day did like 20 back to back pulls no KR, heavy humidity, consistent Smooth power

did some calculations based of hptuner data (which obviously isn’t 100% accurate) but I figure I’m right around 300 engine hp!

Sweet , yeah I don't see why not with the mods you got. I'm just hoping between 230-250 whp since I got the 2.4 ecotec engine. Mine is a 2007 model so I guess my internals are a little stronger but still i'm going to be conservative at first. Also i'm probably going to purchase the ZZP kit minus the supercharger, throttle body and intake manifold since I plan to get those parts used. I notice the kit doesn't include the option b and dual pass system. So if I stay at 3.1 pulley do I need that stuff at this point? Also can you just install option b? or do option b and dual pass have to be installed together to work correctly? Sorry for all the questions brotha just want to figure some of these things out now as the boost world is all new to me as I've only modified N/A cars all my life.

If you're running a 3.1" pulley no need to run dual pass. You can run opt b without dual pass, and I strongly recommend at least dual pass to prevent air in the heat exchanger system.

I agree with above post, you don’t need option b or anything else to run their kit.
I’d imagine you’d probably net 230whp with a very mild tune right off the hop

but.. I would spend the extra 100 bucks and install dual pass before everything goes on the car. Either that or source out a manifold that already has dual pass online, saw a few on eBay a while back being sold with ported m62s.

Sounds good man. Yeah I be more than happy with 230whp. Yeah I actually scored a good deal from a local junkyard in my area out in Nova Scotia earlier this week and got supercharger, intake manifold and throttle body for under 700 bucks Canadian taxes in. I will check to see if it has the dual pass on it but from looking at yesterday I don't it does though. Another question for you. Did you redo the bearings in your supercharger and redo lamova cores in the intake manifold? Or is it ok to just clean all those parts up and install as is. The wrecked car I got it off of was a 2007 cobalt ss/sc with just over 170000 kms is what the junkyard told me. And yeah I definitely will get the option b and dual pass. Right now I see zzp is sold out. I will look on ebay to. This build will be slow as i'm collecting parts and refurbishing parts if I have to.

If your in Canada there’s Powell Race Parts In Ontario, they sell the most complete(Best) Option B kit. Pretty sure they have dual pass units as well. A little harder to place an order compared to zzp but cheaper.
Anyway solid find at the junkyard man!

I ran my intake manifold through an industrial cleaner at my work 4 times then took it home with me to keep cleaning (it was nasty..)
I’m using original cores and seals I just cleaned them all when I did dual pass.

My Blower came from zzp and it should have been refurbished so I haven’t touched it.
I’d recommend changing the oil on your blower as for bearings, I’d install first, see if there’s a problem and replace internal parts as necessary.

Thanks brother. This is really good info. i'm going to be getting some degreaser this weekend and a wire brush and scrub the hell out of the manifold. Might try to find a place to do an industrial clean if I cant get it clean enuff for my standards lol. I like to do everything right or close to right as possible the first time then it doesn't give me problems lol. Yeah I figured I would need to change the charger oil., which is not a problem. So the cores I will take your advice and just clean them up. I think just getting all the damn gunk off will make a difference. I also know a dude who supercharged his G5 gt so if I cant figure out some stuff i'll get some help if needed. I'm really getting excited for this build. One of the reason why I really have enjoyed your build and seeing the great results you've got. You must love kicking the snot out of the Civic si guys lol. I've beaten a lot the last few years with my g5 so its going to murder once I get the charger put on. Do you have a youtube channel? I love to see some vids of your car in action brotha.

No problem happy to help man if you got any other questions.
If you want that manifold to stay clean though I would also recommend an oil / air separator.
I am very happy with my Moroso Ram 5.7L hemi unit haha.
Skip the small glass one from Jeggs and zzps Universal one isn’t that great. I’d go right to Moroso. Also I’ve had no issues running it in -40 Winterpeg. It’s metal, the fluid will freeze, just dump it when the car is warm..

It’s been a while since I’ve really raced someone, I caught up to a porshe once and the guy looked super embarrassed lol.
Lots of people hear my exhaust and try to start a rev off at lights haha and they never expect the supercharger whine it’s hilarious.
Boost is awesome your really going to enjoy just going from light to light and yeah you’ll smoke most cars 0-100Kk/h

Hoping to run a 14 - 14.5 this year first pass of the day work it down to a high 13 by the end of the day. I’ve done so much work getting here but I think I’m ready to retire my 15.09
.. I had so much KR that day, stock tires, Stock suspension, botched tune.
I’m really excited to go back.

I’ll tell you, you do a supercharger install and it won’t stop there , you’ll have a hobby for life!
