supercharging - 2.5 bar map rewire + iat2 ?
Hi guys
I've decided to custom wire in the 2.5 bar map from the lsj. All of the information I have found on this says to wire the temp sensor from the 2.5 bar map to replace the temp sensor in the maf.
So I am basically replacing iat signal with an iat2, right? Do the 2.2l lap engines have a stock source for iat2? If so, where is it and why don't I wire the t-map sensor to that?

our car's pcms are only pinned out for 1 IAT signal. therefore you switch it from the maf to the map to get "IAT2"
Pull the iat signal wire from the maf and connect it to the iat on the 2.5 bar map

The wire colours aren't always the same on the MAFs, just so you know. I used a diagram I found on here, and cross-referenced it with the actual pinout and colours for my 2008 (which I pulled from Mitchell) and they were different.
But yeah as it has already been said, you just pull 2 of the IAT-related wires from the MAF, and splice them into the new MAP connector to get IAT2, which the computer sees as IAT1. Just make sure you're tuned correctly for it though as it does make a difference.
