thermostat below temp??

so ive had this code come up like 3 months ago and i just erased it and never showed up untill last week again same code says thermostat below tempature? have any of you ran into this code before? things on the internet say its from the fan being on a lot?

155,000km thats what i was thinking going to replace thermostat and go from there

on lsj its located behind the motor on the drivers side by the header. "only three bolts". but to get to one is a lil difficult.

im assuming you're gonna need something to catch the coolant once you get to the 3 bolts?

Yea, it'll come pouring out. Then just refill through the coolant tank.

If it's like most gm's it is worth changing the thermostat sooner rather than later. If the engine doesn't get up to temp it never goes into closed loop and will use more gas
