There's some videos on youtube of a automatic 2.2 with a supercharger.I'm pretty sure if you would search a little more then I did you would be able to find one with a turbocharger.

The guy with the 2.2 auto supercharged cobalt I have met him before and he said that it handles good and its alot quicker now with the supercharger

I plan on turbocharging my auto 2.2 when I can come up with the extra cash

Yeah... I'm considering both.... Supercharging it seems pretty straight forward but I want a BOV. As far as I know you can't put one on a super charger.

Seriously, don't choose a setup because you want a little hissing. Trust me, when you drive a car every day with a loud Blow Off Valve, it is extremely annoying. Been there, done that.

Before you make any decision, understand how they both work, what is involved...but more important understand how fuel injection and engine management systems work. Its essential. Even if you buy a kit, you will run into a problem or two...its inevitable. Unless you have endless funds and want to be a slave to a shop, understand what your car is doing so you can grasp an idea.

If you need any help or want further suggestions, let me know.

I thought the sound of a blow off valve is cool...So if you say its not a good idea to supercharge or turbocharge a 2.2 engine how else can we get a shty load of more power out of the engine

I guess its cool a couple times you hear it...but every 5 seconds of you driving and hearing it in traffic is annoying. Thats my opinion.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't go forced induction...I'm saying do your research before you buy anything.

tundra and spanky's monkey are tubo auto's. It's more than just buying the kit and throwing it on. You need to do A LOT of research before you buy anything and know what you're getting yourself into. If you go turbo you'll want more power and then you'll have to do rods and pistons to turn the boost up!

I have looked into it

I know that I need to get the turbocharger kit and I can get it from ZZ Performance and I will need to get the PCM tuned and 1LowLt (Steve) can tune it for me once I purchase the tune.
