06 vs 07 PCM's

I read somewhere earlier this week than the 07 2.4 has a 32-bit PCM/ECM and the other models had a 16-bit.. can anyone confirm this and know what it may mean so far as tuning..??

The '06 SS/NA has the 32-bit PCM too. It was needed to run the VVT and the CAN-BUS interface.

yes i had heard the same, who knows. chances are it wont have any affect on tuning with a computer program.

...at least i hope not since its the first thing im doing when i get my g5 gt.
im just gonna tune the stock pcm with mostly bolt ons, headers and a full cat, screw getting another pcm.

Uh, it's a computer - you can't run 16 bit programming on a 32 bit processer.

However, as stated above, both have 32 bit. The 5 paper HP is from GM playing with their rating system.
