2.0 Sc installed on 2.4 engine

I thought i posted something like this b4 i dont think that the the 2.0 supercharger will fit on the 2.4 block id have to change cams and pistons for lower compression but that would be a good idea if it can be set up on it. does anyone know if it will fit.... thought i could buy one and then slap on some pistons and cams and then maybe a turbo if somehow i get about 10k but then my 2.4 would definatly be a power maker. well let me know guys thanks.

You'll need the intake manifold, aftercooler endplate, h/e, plumbing, brackets, from the LSJ to get a "bolt-on" feel to it all with out fabbing up your own adapter plates and such. And the belt from the lsj, or stage belt. As well as more tuning.

can the stock 2.4 fuel system support it?

+IC pump, tensenior, injectors, collant resivoir, not to mention all the little dollar pieces you'll need. Pistons are unneeded really unless you go with a smaller pully then stock, the stock pulley will make plenty of power, and cams are unnessecary. Fuel pump should be fine. And the biggest thing is finding someone that knows how to tune it.

I had contacted a junkyard about a year ago that was gonna get everything from the ss/sc's set-up for $1000 +shipping so call around and you can get it done for cheap. That is if you know what your doing.

Damn these misleading titles A simple question mark makes all the difference.

"2.0 SC installed on a 2.4 Engine"
- I expect that the thread is about somebody who installed an S/C onto their LE5

"2.0 SC installed on a 2.4 Engine???"
- I know that somebody is asking a question to whether is can or has been done

I guess I'm just venting because I really want to see this swap become reality. I got my hopes up and its, you guessed it, yet another thread asking if its can be done.

You don't have to change anything about your stock engine to support forced induction. What makes you think you have to change pistons and cams? Hahn is making 400 HP in a Soulstice on a stock block.

i said eventually change cams and pistons. pistons might need changed to do it the right way for the sc or turbo for sure if we the 2.4 guys are running 10.5.1 compression. it shoudl be 8.5.1 or something like that which is sufficiant for turbo applications. now as far as the SC on my 2.4 i know it can be done i just didnt have much info on it yet still getting good research so far. hey whatever that guys name was that is buying that 2.0 if you get that 2.0 car and engine are you swapping the SC onto your 2.4 car or do you have a 2.0 also and just swapping parts. id say if the engine is intact and i had money id buy the parts needed for a SC build on my 2.4 which would be huge $$ and well sweet ass hp.

Can't wait for the updates on this it sounds awesome!

Myself I'm gonna wait for the HAHN kit thats good for 240+hp out of our 2.4's. True the Solstice is handleing over 400 but the 2.4 kit for the Balt shows its good for 240 at the wheels. That'll make me happy!

If you are serious about doing it, heres a brief list of parts you would need to get it functional (off the top of my head, I may have missed one or two):

Supercharger, LSJ intake manifold, custom induction piping, a serpentine belt system from a L61 cavie upgrade kit (assuming the LE5 alternator pulley is not clutched, the 2.0 one is and causes problems for 2.0 turbo swap guys), fuel injectors at least comparable to stock 2.0 ones, no idea about a throttle body yours may or may not bolt up to the supercharger.

Additional items not needed but will certainly help make the most of your upgrade would be the stock charge air cooling system from a 2.0, 2 bar map sensor with IAT relocation, and any other engine supporting mods (exhaust, tranny cooler if its an auto, etc)

Tuning wouldn't be that difficult, but it takes more than just your average backyard dyno tuner to get it streetable, preferably someone who has experience with modifying the newer generation GM PCMs. This isn't something you would strap onto a dyno and go "Tune me" like some would like to believe.
