2.4 18's factory

Heres what i think guys they should make the 2.4 with the option of having 18's rims all way round from factory. you know like the 2.0. the 2.4 has the power to back up on those rims. i want 18s but then id have to buy diffrent tires and rims. thats like 1500 bucks. and then id have to sell the pirellis and rims stocks that i have already. anywhos what do you guys think of having 2.4 18s from factory.

yeah iknow that same with having the 18s in the after market parts they got but i dont really like there rims. and for 350 each no way. yeah but i like the 2.4 better than the 2.0 it can be more of a monster than the 2.0 if built up right. could go twin charge on it and would be smokin ass then.

yeah i know but like my 17s stock alums didnt cost extra like they could have the option of having 18s polished on the 2.4 and it could be no extra charge or like something like 500 more. thats reasonable.

Personally, I like the 17s that come on the 2.4l SS. I bought mine as a sedan since it'll be a family car in like 5 years so I wanted it to be comfortable yet powerful. I'd be afraid that the 18" rims and the lower profile tires that would go with them would harshen up the ride too much for my tastes. That's why I voted for it to be Option Only. My other vehicle is a Lifted Jeep Wrangler that rides like a cement truck so I want this car to be low, smooth, comfortable, and (most importantly to me, not so much to the future Mrs.) FAST!

oh i like the 17s on the 2.4 now but they would be better with the same rim polished 18s though. theres just so much clearence from the fender edge to the tire. it would just look good with bigger tires and rims cuz they just look small on the car to begin with.

i might get some better rims anywhos and sell my stock ones to a 2.2 guy.

Personally, I like the look of the 17's better. I'm not a big fan of anything much larger than that. 18's generally are too large for my tastes, and I think the SS/SC would have looked nicer on 17's.

very true. The FASTEST street legal Cobalt in the world is actually a 2.2! Jason Whitfield's Cobalt to be exact.......check out rageperformance.com or whitfieldracing.com. He was on the cover of HCI a few months back as well.......got his poster on my wall.

On the topic of 18"s.......if you want 18"s, then just buy some. My 18"s really don't look much bigger than my 17"s b/c they have a lip.........the style/color is much different than stock.....but overall, they dont look much bigger.

A gunmetal g5 gt rim in 18" would be just right in my book.

i love those wheels on the 2.4 that came with it. im just not a big fan of the gunmetal rims...it def makes the car stand out a lot better! maybe if it was a option..but i personally still would not get them any way...

because people dont already have a hard enough time telling the 2 apart lets make them even more close in apperance. hell if we are going to add 18s to the package lets make it an option for the dorsal fin and for the ss/sc lips. im sorry but ive heard too many times "the other day i beat an ss by 4 lengths". its already annoying enough as it is with people having no clue lets not confuse them any more.
