The possiblility of putting a 2.0 head on a LE5 is very doubt full, the LNF head will not work because It is has direct injection and our computers cannot control those functions. If you were refering to an LSJ head, it still more than likely will not work because our heads have variable valve timing where the LSJ's doesn't, so that would already **** off the ECM because I know it has sensors for the cams that the LSJ did not. Chevygirl2006 is right, just buy some cams from a aftermarket dealer. And yeah, I'm agreeing with a woman...lol

Im not 100% sure on this here but I believe you can make a 2.3L and 2.1L LEJ/LS5 hybrid but I believe that is by swapping out the crankshaft from one to the other or something down that road. But I am pretty sure the LSJ valvetrain/head will not work on the LE5.

Update: it is possible to put a LE5 bottom end in a 2.0 LSJ based car. If it is possible to do it on a 2.4 based car, im not sure, but the way it sounds is that the ecm would have to be swapped with that of the LSJ's.
In the lond run buying aftermarket cams is a much easier route to go. Either way food for thought and best of luck if you do it!

Wasn't it user Newt that had an LSJ/LE5 combo?

Why do you want to do an LSJ head? Pull your head, port it(especially exh side) and call it good...it will flow like mad. ZZP 2.4l cams are a nice touch though too.

hydrid 2.2 head le5 bottom ends have been done on jbodies. i know one guy on here swapped the entire le5 into his LS balt. You might need to use a crank trigger wheel, do some more research

He ahs a Sunfire, which doesnt come with VVT so he can use what he wants.

with the VVT it seems you would need to run a standalone computer, ZZP sells cams for our cars, compatible with the VVT

True story.

I have a LE5 bottom end, LSJ head in a sunfire.

Biggest problem would be getting it run right with the computer in a factory equipped LE5 car.

Other than that its not to hard of a combo to put together.
