The CAM will be limited as it will not be as performance orentated as the JPB one. The Duration, Lift will ultimately be not to same performance spec as GM's.

Installing GM cams will affect your warranty. GM isn't going to warranty an engine tore into even if it's to install a GM part, GM warranties the performance parts themselves, don't confuse that with GM performance parts retaining the factory powertrain warranty on your vehicle.

dont expect to get any warranty on this car...alot of the dealers surf the forums. they know what you are doing.

a dealer would definately be able to notice the rough idle associated with a large overlap...and the tool marks from taking off your cam cover.

cams are a big item to go putting on your car, GM or not...your warranty will be void.

Yes but are YOU a current CERTIFIED GM mechanic? there is no conversation here. If they can find out, beyond a reasonable doubt, that you have dug into their motor, they wont cover anything. PERIOD.

ok guys, if you mod your car to the point of putting cams in and end of having a problem, man up and pay the price it takes to play. IF you are worried about your warranty don't mod your car, it's that simple.

actually technically they legally MUST keep the warranty active unless the cam actually causes the failure you want the warranty to fix. as long as it is installed properly (and get a tune to be safe) you shouldn't worry about the cam causing damage, but then again, alot of dealers will say, "that's not warrantied" then people just give up. if they try to push it off on you argue it. yell in the show room in front of customers and talk about how bad their service is. do what it takes, because legally they have to keep their warranty active unless your mods actually cause the failure.
