thats not bad at all man, so once you get header and downpipe you should get atleast 15.4-15.5 easy.

Thanks.

Has the OP checked under their hood to make sure their car was stock when they bought it? Could explain why he kept even with the S/C.

I got the 16.1 time from a guy who had posted a vid of his pass. He said it was all stock. There are many factors that can affect times ie: wheel spin etc. IDK if intake and exhaust can drop .4 but it definitely wakes it up.

haha 15.7 so slow J/K

a manual 2.4 stock should be in the 15.3-15.5 range with the average driver. autos are about .3-.5 slower.

Not to sound like a duch but it can happen i've done it and the guy driving the sc was only up about half a car or so

I am fully bolted on too and i raced one from start last week

0 to 160 kmh

it was equal all the way; he never passed me

i take it though that not all SS/SC are the same when stock

On average what do stock ss/sc's put down? I just dont see how this is possible, our 2.4's arnt fast with out all bolt ons plus tune. F/I is the way to go obvesely, lol.

07 and under 2.4's put down about 150whp stock. Full bolt ons, I/H/DP/CB/TUNE: About170whp-180whp depending on weather conditions and dyno.

08 2.4's put down about 160whp stock. I dont know of anyone on here with a 08 2.4 with full bolt ons plus tune. Id guss 180whp-190whp depending on weather conditions and dyno.

(DUNKINUTS put down 171whp with just a k&n intake on his 08 2.4, which is amazing...)

I'm thinking the 08's are a little underrated. intake and exhaust and I kept up with a stage 3 S/C through 1st. Also took a stock S/C through 1st and 2nd (He was playing catch up through the 2nd half of second and was at my door when he had to shift.) A 2.4L can ONLY run with a S/C from a dig IMO and when 3rd gear comes wave bye to the S/C as he flys away. The only reason a 2.4L has an edge through 1st is because we're not fighting for traction like the S/C driver who also has to fight for traction when he hits 2nd.

I have run against a mod'd (not sure what mods) SS/SC and he did miss a gear (4th) but he couldn't really pull me back in from what I gained. I agree, the 08 2.4 has something different. not sure what but have seen a guy drive a bone stock 2.4 to 15.1 at 92mph. I have hit 14s with just my intake but run 15.0 at 93mph on a regular basis. Last example is my friends 08 Si, he has an intake, header, and no cat. granted I am a better driver but he we stay even until the very top of my 2nd gear when he starts to pull on me. and only puts about me at his bumper by the end of 3rd.

I've also run a stock 07 2.4L and even when he gets the jump on me, I've pulled him back by the end of 1st and I'm just walking away after that. 0-80 with him getting a car jump on me ended with me 4-5 cars ahead of him.

I like my 2.4 personally. I have two friends that both have 2.2's. They both have 2.4 mani's, exhaust, intake, etc. I walk on the auto one, but the manual one takes me by a hair. I have intake and exhaust right now, header and tune in a month.

I am getting married next year so I am trying to save up what I can. But I basically load my credit car and then slowly pay it off then get a buy again. I am close to doing that again. But I need tires before anything else. But next will probably be the vibrant header/dp combo. but no where near done with my car, just slowly working on it.

I have also done a lot of suspension work, in total I think I am just over 2 grand or so put into the car in a year and a half.
