I don't want to be given the slip by some shady foo. Is this a 2.4 throttle body, or will I be fooled into a 2.2 throttle body that is being falsely advertised? I'm not an expert on these things, though it does look a tad small on the intake side.

Do you need a 6 pin or 8 pin? That appears to be 6. I have an 8 pin tb and it does not look like that.

I'm gonna go with no, its obviously from 07 and they changed the le5 throttle body after 06 but even so I don't think that's what it should look like

edit: Just measure it, stock le5 should be 64.5 mm on the intake manifold side

because that is definately from a 2.2. then 2.4 tb's only have 4 mounting holes, the 5th mounting hole that has the screw in it in the picture is only on 2.2's

I am not near the guy or I would. It's an online ad.

Sorry man, I'm 6-pin. I've seen yours and wished it would fit mine.

Thanks for watching out for me! It was $69 online so I got hopeful, but it didn't feel right. Sticking with ebay stores and CSS.net for a 2.4TB/manifold upgrade.

yup thats for sure a 2.2.. you see the difference in how the inside diameter before the butterfly valve "cups" in the one spot.. 2.4 TB dont have that cupping effect. its all one solid diameter throughout

I see what you mean by the cupping. Awesome.

If I didn't have the worst luck on the face of the Earth I'd try it. If I tried it my car would blow up, I'm serious. Found a couple good deals though, a 6-pin 2.4L TB and manifold will run me $200. Now I'll just start saving some money.

Really? I've had trouble finding the manifold. TB is no problem, but the manifolds I've seen go $100+ There is a 90 acre junkyard here but the only 2.4L is the pre-ecotec grand ams and aleros.

Damn... well, it will be at least a couple weeks before I can afford the combo + a tune, so I'll be looking out for one. I want to get a header/downpipe/catback, but want it tuned for that too. Thanks bro.
