NGK 1 step colder plugs
I would like to know which NGK 1 step colder could i use for the car?? how do i know if it is a 1 step colder??
with a gap of .043 or around there (i think could use if it is .001 different, correct if im wrong)
on my research i came across this ones.
LFR6A-11 (V-power/regular class): found on a build thread, but dont know whats the gap. On NGK website doesn't says it is a 1 step colder.
ILTR5B11 (iridium/premium class): Got info from Advance auto parts. does not says if it is 1 step colder on NGK website.
ILTR5B11 $9.23
LTR5IX-11 (iridium/premium class): Got info from Advance auto parts. does not says if it is 1 step colder on NGK website.
LTR5IX-11 $7.83
LTR6IX-11 (iridium/premium class): found in MP website and it says is for the SS/TC. On NGK website doesn't says it is a 1 step colder.
if none of this, what would be the part number or plug i need to get.
Thank you in advance.

Stock plugs are heat range 5. You want heat range 6 to be one step colder. I used LFR6A-11 for 30k when I had the m62 on. Forget what gap they came, but they are copper plugs and you can gap them anywhere you want. I ran mine at .038.
the gap will have a huge effect on the car depending on if its too weak of a spark or too strong of a spark. you want to use a gapping tool to set the gap drive it for a few days and check for misfires and running rough, then regap accordingly and drive for another couple of days. i know when i had just an intake i had to keep the gap at around .040 then when i started adding more mods i had to adjust them a little more to get a gap that matched my car.

LTR6IX-11
on NGK website says it will increase performance, improve acceleration, and fuel efficiency.
ILTR6B11
but this one dont, what is the difference in Laser (longer life) and the other, will i get the same increase, improve and fuel efficiency???????
copper is the only one that can be gap?

Go to your nearest auto parts store and get a plug gapper. Should be under $5. From what I've seen with boosted ecotec's, you want as large of a gap as possible without getting spark blowout at high rpms. Typically people decrease gap as they turn up the boost because they run into spark blowout and loss in power. But, if you can run the stock gap and have no issues with power up at top rpms, then I would certainly do that.
Yea, I dont believe they recommend gapping the other types of plugs, besides copper. Copper is great for boosted applications, but is known for not lasting as long. I had 20k on my first set and they had widened .003. Worked great though

ok i think thats what is happening right now, when i step on it, the car like bogs or jumps (cant explain it, find the word, or the term for it lol) and missfire like crazy (by interceptor) and then engine lights begin to blink, and when i stop flooring it and drive regular it stop blinking.

What I would do, is get your gapper and find out where you are at first. Then drop .002-.003 at a time, until your problems go away. If things dont get better by 0.030, gap is not your issue.
