The 2008 Cobalt Sport Coupe

Are the parts on this car interchangeable with parts that fit on the 05 and up? the engine was not changed as far as I can tell. Reason im asking is its hard to find places that have 2008 aftermarket parts. Also any good websites for 2.4L parts, im only finding stuff for 2.2L. Thanks for any help.

where in NY are you, also what kind of parts are you looking for? rebel auto worx makes a CAI, K&N makes a CAI specifically for the 2.4 however most 2.2 intakes will work.. exhausts between the 2.0, 2.2 and 2.4 should be interchangeable

you're not going to really find anything 08 specific yet it's not far enough into the model year for companies to know how much of an audience they have for parts

Im in Fairport NY just outside rochester, not really to many custom shops around here, but I was looking for just some basic bolt ons, nothing hardcore, should be getting a project car this summer so I want to save for that.

K&N makes a 2.4 specific intake,t here are numerous good exhaust options, suspension goodies... personally, i like doing a little at a time, that way i feel the same "high" when i add a new part.

do I have one now? no, not yet. Ill be most likely getting this car over any other in its price range because we get a GM discount, so im trying to price some stuff out for the 2.4L. Also you guys know of any websites that have a good ammount of stuff for the 2.4, like short throws and stuff like that, clutch upgrades and so on. Also where did you guys get your torque damper? thanks.

sorry for double post but on cobaltperformanceparts they have an anti roll kit(front and rear) for only $300 now to me that seems a little strage, i thought it would be more. But right now as far as handling goes, ill get that anti kit along with eibach lowering springs. One quick question regarding lowering your car, do I need to get a camber kit to go with it or will my tires be fine?

If you want a short throw shifter you can use one for a 00-05 Cavalier. They are only $40 shipped on ebay.

New era performance is in rochester , i ordered my ignall's TD from them . They had a cobalt ss/sc project car and carry a bit of performance parts. They are a supporting vendor on here so look them up.
